At the end of June, I decided I needed a break. It’s crazy what back to back seminars and talks on healthcare innovations will do to your body and mind and I was constantly reminded in different ways that it was time to rest.  Although academic sabbaticals are not unheard of, this was my first and I learned so much from this period of rest and reflection. From the benefits of real sleep, practicing how to say No, making tough choices these are few of the ten lessons I learned during my sabbatical.

So, if you are constantly exhausted, falling asleep or experiencing chronic fatigue every other day, these are clear signs that it’s time for a sabbatical. After all, you need to be in great health to make those ground-breaking accomplishments, right?  https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/10-things-youll-learn-during-bps-lucien-engelen?trk=portfolio_article-card_title
